Immigrating from Scandinavia in the very early 18th century, the Derringer’s were one of the oldest families in the county, having settled the region around Ashton Lake generations ago, alongside the Fairchild’s who founded the town. Though these days there is a world of difference between both families' wealths. Debra is the last of a long legacy of ranchers who have now all but moved on from this corner of the State after selling their land to the Fairchilds just over two decades ago.

Debra is a well accomplished horsewoman, who has honed her skills since childhood. She competed in many of Ashton Lake’s junior league rodeos & then progressed on to more serious competition within the adult rodeo circuit. Eventually her horsemanship, as well as her roping skills, became so good that she made it to the national levels of competition. Debra excelled in every event that she competed in. Including breakaway calf roping, tie-down calf roping, team roping, bareback riding & bull riding - in addition to the barrel race. Needless to say, with all of her training & experience, she is a well accomplished cowgirl that knows how to ride a horse & use a lasso.

Debra is also a qualified sharpshooter & part time professional western trick shooter. Her preferred weapon of choice is a .44 magnum revolver. Due to her immense "chest strength" she can fire the weapon as easily as the cowboys of old could with their classic colt revolvers. Granted her rate of fire is slower, but the larger rounds make up for that by dealing more damage.

When she decides to "fan the hammer" she can be utterly devastating.

In Highschool, Debra was the Head Cheerleader for both the football & basketball teams. Representing the Ashton Lake Rough Riders, Debra led her cheer squad to many state championship victories. They even outshined the cheerleading squads in Hardwood City. During her senior year, Debra led her squad to the cheerleading nationals, & it was there that they won third place granting Debra & her squad national respect. Overall this was a remarkable feat, considering they were a bunch of unknowns from a small hick town in the south.

But it didn’t stop there, Debra lived quite the busy life during these formative years (almost certainly to get out studying). She was dubbed Ashton Lake's Rodeo Queen, Homecoming Queen, & Prom Queen four years in a row. When she could, she worked as a Babysitter to earn some savings on the side. Amongst her clients were the Morgan’s siblings, Vanessa & Billy, who she still keeps in contact with to this day.

Debra’s striking good looks, flowing platinum hair, incredibly large bust, & toned body, always garnered her a lot of attention. But after turning 18 & graduating highschool, her combination of beauty & renown opened many avenues for her that she hadn’t anticipated. She was offered countless jobs to become a pinup model, an actress, & of course an adult entertainer. However she politely rejected all of those offers to fulfill her true passion. 

And that was to one day become the Sheriff of Ashton Lake. It was her childhood dream to be just like one of the good guys from old western films, where she could make a difference in the world by fighting crime with her cowgirl skills.

Resistant (or oblivious) to most forms of "male persuasion", Debra does have a particularly strong sexual weakness for "studs" (traditionally handsome, tall, muscular, well-endowed, virile men), which gets her into sticky situations from time to time where these attractions get the better of her usually sound judgment & moral code.

Her trusty steed & partner, Big Barney, was bred by & purchased from Jebadiah Slocum, a family friend who has known Debra all her life & followed her development with keen interest... Barney got

his nickname from Debra's friends who never failed to point out & make fun of his freakishly large & floppy schlong that never seems to recede when in the presence of women. "Big" might just be the

understatement of the century. Debra never paid it any real mind though, nor loved or respected him any less for his "unique attribute". And why would she? After all, in all these years of knowing Debra, Barney has not once made a single sexual advance towards her...
