April 2018 Update

Hey everyone,

I thought it was probably time for another quick update just to check in and let you know that I'm still working, albeit slowly as per usual.

As of this post I have about 9 images left to render for Chapter 1 of OIL, which doesn't sound like a lot but I'm also super busy with a lot of other things at the moment so I still can't give any dates even at this late stage. After I finish rendering I still have to do post editing on a lot of images and then the text needs to be inserted onto the images etc which will also take a while.

Anyway here's another quick preview:

It's a scene from near the start but I ended up rendering it last for some reason. This sex scene is basically all I have left to render. So yes, while OIL is mostly a series about sex with aliens it also has a number of human scenes towards the start of this volume. As the volume progresses it becomes more focused on Aliens. There's at-least 4 chapters planned for Volume 1 but it's possible that there could be 5 once all the remaining scenes in the final chapters are written.

Chapter 1 will come with a 'no-text' image set version and a comic version with the story/dialogue inserted onto panels constructed out of the original images. We'll provide examples later for those who don't understand what I'm saying here. It'll be a little different from usual.

I'll try and get to that behind the scenes post for the Strippa and Kolong designs soon. The one I've been postponing for months. And other posts more frequently, but you know how these things tend to go.


Here's an old concept render of Ridori wearing the station's uniform. However, we ended up cutting all of the scenes where she wore it so it will actually be an unused outfit for her.  You'll see some of the other characters wearing it though.
